24 Hours Getaway

Friday, went to work like usual. Friday evening, packed my stuff. What for? For a 24 hours weekend getaway. Friday night, got on my ride. Where to? Port Dickson. Later on Friday night, BBQ.

Very early in the morning on Saturday, went to bed. HAHA

Saturday morning, had simple breakfast, went straight to the beach. Since the sun wasn't really out, the weather was just nice. It was raining, even. (So takdala hitam sangat. Belang sikit je. ;))And so we spent time at the beach until 3pm. 4pm, swimming pool. 6pm, shower.

Dinner, and later balik rumah.

The company was awesome. As always and will always be. Cheers for 8 years of friendship and more. I'm really grateful for everything. And of course I ask forgiveness for any of my indecency.

The moment I took my first step into home, stress welcomes me. I left for PD and I left all my stresses back home, and so they welcome me back.

Good night.

Shopping!

I made a call to my telephone banking. To get my balance. Wasn't outstandingly happy.

BUT WHAT THE HECK! I HAVEN'T SHOPPED SINCE NEW YEAR'S SALE!!

Originally wanted to get me a pair of boots and a pair of flats. However, things never get into hand when it comes to Buchanan Street.

Singgah ZARA and got three nice tops. Although I don't really need any more tops sebab almari pun dah tak muat dah. I use one compartment of my book shelf for my clothes that I can't hang in my closet yang dah cukup besar. One organic cotton top that's for a good cause that says "MEOW". Another with a free cotton vest attached to it, thought they were sewn together. But they weren't! So I can wear the vest with any other top. And another that says, "Don't Speak what you Don't Understand". Don't tell me its crap! (In denial)

Then went to MANGO and got a seven quarter black pants. So that I can wear them when I get back to Malaysia. Tak leh pakai shorts, tak baik. Yes Mummy, you would be glad I bought that! Hehehehehe and I don't have any bottom to wear kat Malaysia anyway. Skinny jeans don't go with hot weather. Go to hell la "biar derita asal jelita" pun.

And then went to Fraser's to continue my shoe hunt. Semua yang lawa mesti kulit babi. Up to the point where I know how kulit babi shoes smell like. That's how bad it was, if it's bad in the first place. So instead, I got a purple Ted Baker purse yang lawa and surprisingly murah! I was looking for a good purse since December! Didn't know it would find its way to me NOW. Alhamdulillah. Hehehe! I AM SOOOO THRILLED WITH MY CATCH!

Tomorrow, I will go get the Jason Mraz hat from Urban Outfitters. YES! Jason Mraz has done me good. I'll see you soon. Yes yes.

I'm so glad. Haiiihhhh. Continue study. Thank you.

p/s: My essay test went great! Except I only mentioned central nervous system and not specifically central imidazoline. How could I not remember when I have my name, Imi on it. Other than that, alhamdulillah semua yang di-study, semua keluar. *Diuretics tak keluar. And whyyy la I'm telling this?

Thank you for the company. I really enjoyed it. ; )

Owh, Yes!

Jeng jeng jeng.. JENG!

The most wanted dessert by far, (not boasting or anything, it has been asked for many times by a few sweet tooth-s. *Smug*)

Sharing is caring yaww. So here's the recipe:

CHOCOLATE AND HAZELNUT MOUSSE (serves 12 cravers)

The mousse contains: (Ni terlampau banyak buat label for ubat-ubatan ni.)
300g milk chocolate, chopped (Cadbury is the easiest. But Hershey's would be nice too!)
3 eggs, room temperature, yolk seperated
2 tablespoons caster sugar
1 cup thickened cream (I use Tesco's double cream)
1/3 cup roasted hazelnuts, finely chopped (frankly, I never do. Haha bulky ones are nice for me)

Methodology: (Sah-sah banyak sangat buat ubat-ubatan (=,='))
1. Place milk chocolate in bowl. Microwave, uncovered on medium for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Set aside to cool for approx. 5 minutes.
2. Add egg yolks to chocolate.
3. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Sprinkle sugar. Beat until thick and glossy. Fold half egg mixture into chocolate until combined. Fold in remaining.
4. Whip cream until soft peaks form. Fold cream and hazelnuts into chocolate mixture. Serve refrigerated separately in nice, small bowls. (minimun 4 hours)
5. Decorate with strawberries, cherries, blackberries, green white chocolate strips, cocoa powder, ANYTHING!

In bimbo style, "Chocolate, is the new PINK!" *Snaps fingers*

CAUTION: May cause sugar rush if taken excessively.

That was the first one I've ever made for our Christmas lunch last year. Not THAT smooth, got A FEW bubbles, but the bulges are from the hazelnuts. Topped with berries, very christmas-y, very nice indeed! Somehow it has a cocoa tint to it. Don't know where that came from. So that's a plus idea for you!

Those are the victims of sugar rush, hehe. With the latest one I made, topped with cherries. Not the best topping choice but still nice. It was creamier, less chocolaty, less sweet, friendlier for those who are not too keen with too much sweet on their tongues.

Notice I don't put them separately in small bowls like how they are supposed to because it's a hassle to make them into 30s! Plus everyone likes it that way. ;)

It doesn't taste the same EVERY TIME I make it. Its either creamier or chocolatier. But both are very nice options ey?

TIP: To produce a nice mousse, fold in ingredients with a basket of smiles. No blues allowed! Trust me, it'll taste different.

ENJOY!!

Tell me how it goes!

Not in my worst

I've been through HARDER times.

But right now, I just can't take all this.

Work is building up and needs to be finished after this weekend. I've started, but still rasa tak puas hati because it's not my best! And I don't have time!! Plus, kepala otak dah buntu.

And with all that, emotions build up. At the wrong time, Miss!

I miss home.
I can't imagine myself next semester.
I need to BUCK UP! This is just nothing, Imi.

But I need to see my loved ones;
Nenek, especially.
I miss her like crazy and I don't even know why.
Rindu Adam and Ariz.
Don't know whether Ariz still remembers his Aunty Su or not.

And no, I just can't stop dreaming of you. Yes, that's me in my unconscious state.

Tuhan sedang menguji hambaNya.

I'm just tired. And my body is getting weak. I do eat properly, though. I can't stop NOW. I have exams in one month's time!

Note: No other therapy works for this kind of situation. Please find me one.

I have to face the truth, studying pharm. for life (especially when I'm far away from home) will be like this, and even worse! Expect the worst and never run away from it.

Cheesecake Therapy

I was not a fan of a cheesecake when I was younger. But arriving puberty, (hehe) I've learned to L.O.V.E. cheesecake more than ever! However I only 'crave' for them once a month. If you're a girl, you might understand.

Some people, no, MOST girls prefer chocolates. I was one of them until I got here to Glasgow. I don't know what changed me, the air I breathe kut. Haha. A particular month, rasa nak makan cheesecake so badly! So I went down to Tesco's and bought a small tub of strawberry cheesecake (not a Tesco's brand), and boy, was I in heaven! And ever since that day, I could not live without my once a month cheesecake.

I call it the CHEESECAKE THERAPY.

To me it's the greatest therapy around. Once you get it, you're instantly motivated, energetic, you won't have that grumpy mood at that time of the month. And thankfully enough, you don't have to get a big cheesecake for it. A small dosage of 100 g will do its benefits

So to not get that worst guilt feeling, I prefer low fat. =) No, SERIOUSLY! There are only certain types of cheesecakes that can be considered as a good therapy. Not too fancy, cukup lemak, not too thick nor too thin. If the characteristics above are not met, then the objectives of the therapy will not be achieved. (Note to self: Practice more scientific sentences for Pharmacology Report.)

Today, I made an appointment with my therapist (Tesco) to get a 100 g tub of strawberry cheesecake. However, the one I always buy for myself was not available. How could they do that to me??!! I was full of anxiety for awhile, until my eyes caught sight of a strawberry cheesecake by the therapist's brand. (Tak nak kutuk sangat brand, so we refer to it as therapist yea?) Jolly good. Haha

I wasn't expecting a big disappointment though. I got back, opened the lid and took a spoonful of therapy, and my reward nerves were not activated, at all! (I make it sound like its orgasm, but it's not, although it works just the same.)

But thank goodness I bought 16 pieces of Ferrero Rocher, and my therapy was replaced, safely.

From the observation above, clearly the index of a perfect cheesecake therapy is really narrow. Which is why specificity is really crucial!!

It's obviously just a placebo, but please, the reward nerves are doing a good job!
